Infrastrutture S.p.A. (IFT), an Italian Company whose activities range from development, construction and operation to direct investment in the renewable energy sector across Europe, Asia and Latin America, today announces that Marco Salemme has been appointed as Senior Advisor, effective 1 March, 2024.

Marco comes with a long experience as Chief Financial Officer in the energy and utility industry and will provide support on strategic and financial matters to Infrastrutture S.p.A. along its path of consolidation and further expansion as significant actor of the energy transition.

Marco is a senior executive and during his about 24 years career at Enel Group held many key financial roles including, among others, Global Chief Financial Officer of Enel Green Power & Thermal Generation, Regional Chief Financial Officer for Europe & North Africa, Chief Financial Officer of E-distribuzione, Head of Group Strategic Planning and Chief Financial Officer of Enel Produzione. He covered several M&A and financial transactions and sat as non-executive Director in the Board of some foreign controlled companies of the Enel Group.

Prior to that Marco spent about 10 years working for the consumer goods US giant Procter & Gamble, where he grew in the finance department, covering several positions of increasing responsibility in Italy and Europe.

Pier Francesco Rimbotti, founder and CEO of Infrastrutture S.p.A., said : “Marco’s tenure in the renewable sector and several international landmark transactions are outstanding. His experience and consolidated reputation will be very valuable to fuel the growth of Infrastrutture internationally and to support the domestic business which is growing steadily also thanks to the JV with Eni-Plenitude started in September 2022 which now already has several plants in construction”.
